Hodgepodge

Sunday March 14, 2010
hi.

Here's all that snow we got a couple of weeks ago. This was day 1.

We went to Cleveland last week. We stopped to see cousins Jesslyn and Nevaeh, and Aunt Kristy and Uncle Joel on the way. In Cleveland, we stopped by Lauren's nephew Wells' house and the boys played cowboys. Will is riding the bull with Lauren. Lauren is magical with kids.

Three cowboys. Will, Mr. Danny (Lauren's dad), and Wells. Wells was wearing this cowboy hat, a huge belt buckle, and chaps when we saw him :)

We stopped in Knoxville on our way home to see our friend Heather. Look at her little baby bump. Hev is due in 3 weeks with her first baby-a boy. She and Patrick have a name picked out but aren't telling. Just the initials
BPM
Oh, and Will is drinking his "chocate nook"

Thoughts on Thursday

Thursday March 11, 2010

*Remember playing four-square at recess?  What a great game.  You could call "interference" if the ball touched anything but the ground or another player.  Also, "do-over."  I think we should be able to use those in real life.

*I missed out on a $1k referral.  One. Thousand. Dollars.  I have a friend who I referred to apply at my work six months ago.  He got hired and works in GA. If he stays for 6 months, I get ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS.  I had 30 days to turn in a referral for him but didn't get around to it.  Why? Well, I was moving to Columbus during that time and kinda forgot about it.  Geez-oh-man... "Interference!"

*When I brought Will his clothes to get dressed this morning he told me, "It's not in the rules mommy.  I cannot wear those pants because it's not in the rules.  I need to wear my jammas."  Nice try.

* I was wondering what happened to the Gin Blossoms.  It turns out they are touring and will be in OH this summer.  I saw these guys in concert in the summer of '96 with a bunch of other bands :)   Hey Jealousy is not a bad song to have stuck in your head.

*Bonnie said last week that she thinks people are kinda grouchy because of the weather.  She's had a lot of issues with parents at the day care lately.  After seeing nothing but sunshine this week, I will have to agree.  If sunshine doesn't make you happier, I'm not sure what would.

That is all.

Faraway Friends

Monday March 1, 2010

Since we've moved to Columbus we've connected with a lot of friends who we haven't seen in a little while. Here are a couple of photos to mark the occasions.

Gideon and Will
Gideon's daddy, Mike, and I have been great friends since high school. Mike has always been one of my funnier friends...and crazy, too. I think my dear friend has mellowed out a little, though. One thing that has remained with Mike is his sweet spirit and heart for the Lord. He has always been an incredible encouragement to me and a faithful friend.

Gideon, Mike, Abby, and Abel

The boys' names are beautiful!  Gideon Satchel and Abel Dumisani. Great, huh?

Feb.'10

Last weekend another dear friend, Lindsey, came to visit from Cinci with her son G. I couldn't wait to get my hands on this little guy, it was our first time meeting him! I was overjoyed to have a visit from these guys.

Look at that sweet face.

Will's first picture. Not bad.
