ZZZZzzz...
Was going to upload some pictures from last week but then looked at the clock and realized it's after midnight! Needless to say I've been busy and a little behind! So... I will update this weekend. Until then, I'm going to bed and hoping my cute little alarm clock will automatically snooze itself to 8:30. Unlikely, he's pretty on the dot with "dadadadadadadaaaaa!" every morning at 7:30am. Why can't he say "momma?" I am the one who goes to get him in the mornings?
Thinking Outside the Jar
I can't believe nobody in my area has really told me about this place (especially my friend who always has information on EVERYTHING local for me-yes you Jennie Councill!) It's a Whole Foods store. I shopped at the Whole Foods in Buckhead on my way home from PB when we lived in Atlanta. It's way too far to drive now so I was happy to find Harry's. As they say, "if you're looking for it at Harry's they've got it. If you're not looking for it, you may get it any way." I went in for a Thanksgiving turkey and some honey crisp apples. I walked out with honey crisp apples and baby food. ONLY those two items because my husband and sleeping baby were in the car and I was like a child at Disneyland running from one exciting aisle to another.
So my story with the baby food is that I have been having trouble finding convenient foods for Will to eat that are healthy, interesting, and fresh. Let's face it, Gerber is boring! He is not quite wanting what we're eating but kind of over the baby food. I would love nothing more than to make/puree all of his baby food but I don't really have the time to do it all. So today while scurrying through Harry's I found some frozen baby food; Plum and Happy Baby. Both are flash frozen, organic, healthy, and carry intersting ingredients like bay leaf, corriander, and cinnamon.
I purchased supergreens multigrain, red lentil veggie, chicken whole grain pasta, mama grain (bananas, quinoa, and black beans), and baby dhal (carrots, potatoes, lentils, spices). I'm keeping my fingers crossed and one eye open when feeding it to him. Hoping he'll have adventurous taste buds like his mommy! Playing in the Leaves, Playing with Daddy
Have one, they're tasty.
Too distracted by daddy's hat to be ticklish!
First Balloon
My mom and I went grocery shopping at Trader Joe's today. I got my first balloon. Loved it! I carried it with me to take a tubby (bath) and stared and yelled at it the whole time. Then when it was time for bed, I wanted to take it to bed with me. I can't wait to get another balloon at Trader Joe's!
Wedding Weekend
So here's dad and me on our way. We stopped for lunch at Chick-Fil-A, our favorite.
We spent lots of time hanging out at the condo with some friends. I mostly played with my toys and played the piano for everyone. I played a little Billy Joel and a little Elton John.
Here's me with my folks right after the wedding.
Here we are with our Lee U. friends. I'm gonna get your ear, B!
My folks and me with the bride and groom. Hey, isn't that the buffet table over there?
Here's me with Mattie D. He has a little boy just my age. My mommy and his mommy were expecting just three days apart! He was very excited to have his picture taken with me since I'll probably be a teammate one day. Go Braves!
I had a fun weekend but I was so tired I nearly slept the whole way home! Mom tried her best to keep me entertained. We had fun.
What is my dad doing?
Homecoming Weekend
So my mom and I didn't make it to the homecoming breakfast because I was a sleepy head but we did have a great time hanging with our friends. My dad did his usual; played golf on Friday, played home run derby, and played in the alumni baseball game. Dad's college baseball coach, Coach Altopp, was inducted in to the Lee University sports hall of fame. My dad was a guest at the dinner on Friday night. My dad says Coach Biggie is a great man and he was honored to be there with him. Since our friend Bryan is getting married next weekend, my dad and some of their friends had a guys night out. Who knows what they did but all I heard was "laser tag, wiffle ball, water balloons..." Hey, how come they didn't invite me?!
While my dad did his thing, I got to hang out with my friend Christian and his new little sister Eden. Eden is one month old and really tiny. My mom says she never held me in her arms when I was that small! That's right, because I'm a big boy.
My mom and her friends, Christina and Heather, have a sort-of tradition of making a home video when the guys are all out together. This started when they were dating in college and Heather and Patrick first got married. Mostly the video is about making fun of the guys. Sounds mean, but it's really funny. My mom does a great impression of my dad! And Heather and Christina always have the guys rolling with their imitations.
We don't have that video to post but my dad accidentally took this little video while trying to take a picture of Christian and me. My mom thought it was kinda funny. What is Christian doing to me???
