Christian's First Birthday

We went to Chattanooga for Christian's first birthday party. I slept through the whole party! But I still had fun playing with Christian and seeing our friends. Shout out to P., who I missed meeting!

Ok, I've learned my lesson. Don't be so quick to celebrate sleep! We are back to waking up :)

Today my Mom and I spent the day in Cleveland, TN to run a few errands and meet up with some friends and some of my Mom's old co-workers. We met Lisa and Merica at one of my Mom's favorite lunch spots; Gardener's Market. We also went to my Mom's old workplace, Lee University, where I got to meet some new people. Merica was so nice and let us use her office to get ready before our long drive home. I also got to see Jenny, Lauren, Morgan, Kristen and her new baby, Wells.

This is me with Morgan and Lauren. They were lots of fun! I met their Dad, Mr. Danny, and he kissed me so much I smelled like his cologne :)

Tonight I had my first taste of baby food. My Mom gave me sweet potatoes and I loved them!

Will's Fun Fact #23: About the only thing that will calm me down when I'm bored in the car is a long round of "Take me out to the baaallll game..." My Dad says it's no coincidence, I'm going to play in the Majors one day! My parents laughed when they saw this shirt and had to get it for me.

Today marks one week for Will sleeping all night. I'm so proud of him. He is also going right to sleep at night. No more crying! Woo-hoo!

Today we went to the Councill's for play group. Jack's mommy made some yummy food for the moms and Jack shared his toys with us. I like Jack. He's so much older and wiser. He laughs at everything, jumps in his bouncy toys, he has TWO teeth!, and he even sits up without help. I hope I can be like him when I get bigger. I got really sleepy and fell asleep in my Mommy's arms. It was kind of fun for both of us because I'm always sleeping in my crib! My mom is realizing that I'm not going to be a baby much longer. She sure is holding me a lot lately. I squealed really loud all afternoon and laughed every time I got my Mom's attention. She thought it was funny, too.

I'm finding myself always trying to carry Will and do laundry at the same time. I get to the dryer to pull out the clothes and put them in the basket and think, "Oh... Will. He has to go somewhere." So in the basket he goes on top of the clean laundry! So he sits in the clean laundry while I toss the clothes from washer to dryer and sometimes load up the washer again. It's always kind of funny to me to see him sitting in my laundry, bouncing around as we hike up the stairs. He just stares at me and kind of looks around as if to say, "So what is it that you're doing here?" I know I'm not the only one who does this! Please leave us a comment 'fessing up to your silly parenting moments! Or just share a story, we don't care :)

We'd like to give a big thank you to our friends Amanda, Lauren, Riley, and Nathan who came over today and hung out with Will while Emily raced around the house checking things off of her To-Do list. Well, not really. She mostly just cleaned her bathroom, made a phone call, and spent the rest of the time hanging with everyone. But at least the bathrooms got cleaned for the first time in two months :) And thanks to Amanda who made a delicous lunch! Next week is Lauren's turn...

Jesus Loves Me

Today was my first time going to Sunday School all by myself AND the first time my parents left me with other people! I usually go with Mommy and Daddy to their service but they thought I was ready for my own class. I fell asleep on the way to church just as Mom planned but then I woke up when we walked in to church because of all the loud music! I think I gave those ladies a little trouble when they were trying to get me back to sleep! There was no way I was missing out on all the fun! When we got home, Mommy changed my diaper and found a funny surprise...

Those ladies are silly! I told them I already knew this because my Mom sings me this song every night!

Dad and I let Mom sleep in this morning. My Dad did a great job getting me out of bed, changing me, and trying to feed me a bottle. I really just wanted to play, though! Mom made pancakes while Dad and I played on the floor. We went to Marietta Square and Mom and Dad stopped for milkshakes at SweeTreats. I can't wait to have my own!

I had a package from Grandpa Strother waiting for me when I got home! He sent me some great books and an Ohio State jersey. I also got some Ohio State goodies from Bonnie.

Mom thinks it's funny when I touch the top of my head because I can barely reach it; my head is so big!

Twenty Two Weeks

Not sure how much longer I'll keep up with weekly pictures! I think we'll switch to monthly soon. Will started rolling over (again!) right after our 20 week post. He has started this cheesy smile (see picture from 6/27/07-Playtime at My House) that is just ridiculous. He still has his baby mullett but it is slowly fading. I try to keep it out of pictures for his sake. I'm sure he'll ask us when he's a teenager why we didn't just cut his hair! He has a signature grunt that makes everyone laugh. He makes friends very easily while standing with Mom in line at the Post Office or the grocery store. And finally, it looks as though he'll start sleeping through the night. He has done so 3 out of 5 nights this week!

Ah, yes. We are his parents. Guilty- everything he does is amazing to us.

Our new friend Parker joined us at play group today at Hannah's house. I liked playing with his hair. I didn't know you could have hair on the top of your head?! Also, I think Parker is a stud because he weighs more than I do and he is only three months old! Here's a picture of us just hanging out.

Will slept all night last night! Woo-hoo! He went to bed at 7:30pm and I didn't hear a peep until 7:00am! This has been a long awaited milestone, especially for Mommy :) I woke up at 5:00am and checked on him because he usually wakes twice a night. Hopefully he'll continue sleeping through the night!
