1. Will received his first "first" birthday present in the mail today from Granny and Poppa Mathews. He had lots of fun tearing in to the paper and playing with the styrofoam peanuts in the package! The See-N-Say is his new favorite toy! Thanks Granny and Poppa! XO
2. The appetite has returned and the ear infection is gone! Lucky for Will he still gets four more days of the pink stuff. He has been grabbing the syringe from me and trying to get his own (over)dose of the meds.
3. I was playing with Will on the carpet last night and looked around at the crumbs of Cheeri0s, Gold*fish, and other natural disasters on our play room floor. I just happen to know a good carpet cleaner, thank goodness, who could fit us in to his busy schedule. I always say we have the cleanest floors in Georgia (not true) and we're the luckiest because we get to run a carpet and upholstery cleaning business. Yes, I do find it funny that my husband is now cleaning carpets for a living. As a matter of fact, a lot of people have asked "Why carpet cleaning?" I usually search for a good answer and can't find one, "Well, the Braves didn't need another short-stop?" But really it's because God wanted us to. It's as simple as that. And we really do get to do it.
Make no mistake, I definitely see what a blessing our business is to us. Especially tonight- freshly cleaned carpets ... and I don't believe he'll charge me for it.
