Pool Party
Saturday June 23, 2007
Today was my first day in the pool! My parents took me for just a little while. I wasn't sure what to think at first but I just loved being outside and watching everyone!
My dad dunking me in cold water is supposed to be fun?
Just thinking
Ahhh...there are my toes!
Mommy and me
Just beat from a tough workout in the pool.
Mail Call!
Friday June 22, 2007
I got a package in the mail today from my Great-Aunt Susan, Great-Uncle George, and cousin Cindy! Mom let me help open them. I love my books and hope to sit on my Aunt Susan's lap someday soon and have her read them to me! Big hugs and kisses to my family in California. I love you and we pray for you before I go to bed every night!

This is my lucky day! My mom went to Babies R Us today to get some diapers and I lucked out and got a cool new toy, too!

Twenty Weeks

Getting so big! Will's new thing is squealing at the top of his lungs! He started this just last Thursday. I think he loves hearing the sound of his voice! He loves to be tickled on his tummy, especially when it's an "itsy bitsy spider!" Because his Daddy and I give him so many kisses, I think he is now trying to return the favor. Yesterday morning he started grabbing my face, opening his mouth and holding it to my face.
He's not quite picked up on cause and effect yet...when trying to get to sleep he curls his feet under his behind and flips himself over and then gets upset because he can't return to his tummy. This means I'm frequently going in his room at night to roll him back to his tummy. We worked on rolling from back to tummy A LOT today :) I suppose he forgot as he started rolling back to tummy when he was 11 weeks. Just needs a refresher!
He's also started crying if I take a toy away from him and reaching for toys that he drops during play time. He is very content to play by himself for a while. He must be enjoying the quiet time when he wakes up in the morning or from a nap. Most of the time I have to go in his room to see if he's awake! I'm so blessed to be his Mommy :)
Mom is so funny!
Cousins!
June 15-17, 2007
My cousins Nevaeh and Jesslyn and my Uncle Joel and Aunt Kristy came to visit this weekend! I had fun playing with them. I'm so glad they came to visit!

Here I am being held by Nevaeh and Jesslyn.
Aunt Kristy held me, played with me, and made me giggle! I think she's the best.
My cousins played with me all weekend.

Four Months
We don't have recent pictures to post because our camera is out of commission. It is en route to New York to be fixed.
Will had his four month check up last Tuesday. He weighed 14 lbs 9.6 oz and measured 26.5 inches long. His length puts him in the 95th percentile! I believe his weight is between 25-50. He is growing so fast.
The last few weeks he is starting to be very selective about who he approves of. Stranger anxiety as they teach you in child development. I know this is a normal phase for babies but didn't anticipate this until much later. He is very aware when there is a new person in our home. Even when we're out shopping and a stranger approaches, he is not always quick to offer a smile. Today we were in Gymboree and a little boy no more than 2 years old approached Will's stroller, curiously. "Whasat?" he asked. (translated: What's that?) "That's a baby. His name is Will." I explained. The little boy got so excited and wanted to touch Will. As soon as his finger started to reach out, Will let out a big grunt and frowned at me. The boy persisted in playing with Will but he would have no part of it. He continued grunting and frowning!
I can remember shopping with my Dad when I was about 4 or 5. Inevitably, he would run in to someone he knew from work. I was always irritated when they tried to include me on the conversation. I didn't care for the attention.
I suppose I know where Will gets his social selectiveness.
