Funny Three-Year Old

Friday January 23, 2009

One of the things I like best in the world is to hear what a three-year old has to say about just about anything. My dad tells me stories about their grandson Matthew and it will never get old to me. I would like to call his Mom, Jonie, and say "So, what's Matthew been saying?" just for a good laugh. Most of the time, it's even funnier to me how parents respond.

The other day, I was talking to a friend and our conversation went something like this:

K: Emily hold on... I don't want to hear that kind of talk any more! If I hear it again I will put Tabasco in your mouth!

Me: Do you really do that?!

K: No, but I threaten to all the time. J (three-year old) just said to her sister, "I am the strongest person in America and YOU are not!"

I think that is the funniest thing I have ever heard in my life. I hope nobody upsets me because I miiight just use that come-back. I can't wait. This same mommy said she got in to an argument with this same three-year old the other day. I wish I was there to witness it. I bet the threesie won.

Birthdays and Bagpipes

Sunday January 11, 2009

What a fun day! We started our day at a dinosaur-themed party at Chuck E. Cheese for Nathan's 2nd birthday party. Will has been asking to go to Chuck E. Cheese for a while. I am not really sure who told him about it but somehow he figured out it was a pretty fun place.

Will sprinted over to see Chuck E. when he first came out. He was the first kid to attack him and I'm pretty sure he gave him 80 gazillion hugs.
He loves Chuck E. Cheese!

After Chuck E. Cheese, we headed east to Athens, GA to help our friend Mia celebrate her 1st birthday.

This is Will with Ellie and Sadie. The two cutest girls in the world. They LOVE Will. They want to pick him up, hug him, kiss him, hold his hand, and pick him up, and hug him, and pick him up some more. They can't get enough of him! Will on the other hand... ha!

Our evening ended with a bagpipe concert at St. James Church. Will was at first, mesmerized by the performance, until hunger and tiredness set in and he was ready to go. We stayed for a couple of tunes. Will is recognizing that his Grandpa plays bagpipes in this video (he still signs grandpa by touching his cheek)...
