I kind of forget how to do this. It's been a while since I've updated the blog. I even forgot my blogger password. Yikes. I thought you all should know that Will turned 2 in January and he is approaching 2 1/2. What have we been doing all this time? Well, let me tell you.
Will started a new school. He LOVES it. On our way to school he insists on listening to "Will's music." What he means is that he wants to listen to the Oldies cd my dad made for me a couple years ago. I think his favorite is "Sweet Ca-o-wine." Sometimes, if we're a little early, we stop at McDonald's for a hasbrown. When we get to school, he likes to walk up the steps by himself and carry his lunch box by himself. "I do it myself, Mommy!" He also likes to go in to school on his own terms. If I try to hold his hand and lead him in he says, "No, I do it." So, he does.
One of the gazillion things I like about Will's school is that they are all about healthy choices. They are big on recycling and we actually have to send their lunch in reusable containers. Don't even think about sending Trix yogurt. They also are big on eating fresh fruits and vegetables as much as possible. I picked up Will the other day and he was eating fennel. Fennel? Seriously? Stop it. I love this place.
I think his favorite lesson is the baby lesson. He gets to choose which lessons he wants to do and most days he picks this one at some point in the day. He gets to feed and dress the baby and his teacher shows him pictures of a baby growing in the womb. I asked him today what he did in school and he said, "Baby wesson. Dat baby naken!" Translation: I did the baby lesson and the baby was naked :) Tonight we were playing and he was putting a little doll to sleep and then pretended it was morning. He picked her up and said, "Morning sunshine!" and gave her a hug and kiss and then said, "I do dis wesson."
Don't be mistaken, Will has a sweet side but he is definitely all boy. He loves sword fighting and wrestling. He would play baseball all day if he could. He doesn't like shopping. He makes boy noises... I don't know where they come from? He LOVES to be tickled and if you stop he prompts, "Need Nore"
Will is getting really good at puzzles. He started a few months ago dominating his 12 piece puzzles. So, I thought I'd go ahead and get a couple 24 piece puzzles just to see how he'd do. He is breezing through them. He is putting together his 50 piece United States puzzle now with ease! I'm so proud of him.
So there you have it. We've been doing our lessons and puzzles. And eating weird new foods. More later.
